ISfahan Province FDI Trend


Apart from being a critical driver of economic growth, foreign direct investment (FDI) is a major source of non-debt financial resource for the economic development of Iran.Foreign companies invest in Iran to take advantage of relatively lower wages, special investment privileges such as tax exemptions, etc. For a country where foreign investments are being made, it also means achieving technical know-how and generating employment.

 The Iranian government’s favorable policy regime and robust business environment have ensured that foreign capital keeps flowing into the country. The government has taken many initiatives in recent years such as relaxing FDI norms across sectors such as oil refineries, telecom, electricity, carpet, food and stock exchanges, among others Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Iran has been increased noticeably by 90% between 2015 until now. In terms of FDI; Iran can get the third place in Middle East after EAU and Saudi Arabia in current years. Similarly, Isfahan as one of the greatest industrial poles of the country was not exception and could attract enormous volume of FDI and soar about 1.1 billion dollars which is equal whole FDI volume in past 40 years. FDI projects including electricity power plan, olive oil factory, car factory and engineering and technical services office.
